Praça XV de Novembro is the beating heart of Florianópolis. And at this time of year, it beats even stronger with a tradition that spans generations: the Praça XV Nativity Scene. Clemar Engenharia is honored to announce its support for the “Praça XV Nativity Scene – Originally Tropicalist” project, a fundamental initiative for maintaining our cultural identity.

This is not just a Christmas scene. The Presépio da Praça XV is officially recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Municipality of Florianópolis (under Registration No. 009/PMF/SMTCE/FCFFC). This title emphasizes that the work is not only physical, but carries knowledge, celebrations, and forms of expression that define the city's culture.

The current project, supported by Clemar through the Municipal Culture Incentive Law (Law No. 3659/91, Project No. 028/2025), has as its main objective the preservation of this tradition. It ensures the artistic reconstruction and exhibition of the work, drawing the attention not only of the local community, but also of visitors from all over Brazil to the uniqueness of our Christmas.

The name “Originalmente Tropicalista” (Originally Tropicalist) is no coincidence. The project seeks to highlight local characteristics, adapting the universal narrative of the birth of Christ to the reality of Brazil and Santa Catarina, surrounded by our fauna, flora, and architecture, creating a unique connection with those who visit the square.

For Clemar Engenharia, supporting this project is a way of giving back to the city that is home to our headquarters and our history. We believe that engineering builds the future, but it is culture that preserves the soul of a people.
