Omnisys, a Thales subsidiary in Brazil, in partnership with Clemar Engineering, signed a contract in February 2021 with the Airspace Control System Implementation Commission (CISCEA) to supply secondary surveillance radars in Petrolina (PE) and Bom Jesus da Lapa (BA). Manufactured at the Omnisys unit in São Bernardo do Campo (SP), the RSM970S radars are certified by the Ministry of Defense and include a two-year warranty, spare parts and maintenance. With more than 200 units in operation globally, the radar offers high reliability and surveillance data integration. Clemar is responsible for the civil infrastructure for installing the radars, reinforcing the long-standing partnership with Omnisys. The initiatives aim to strengthen the Brazilian defense industry and guarantee national sovereignty, with local manufacturing providing logistical and economic efficiency.
