With an investment of R$ 80 million, the largest egg incubator in Latin America is inaugurated in Paraná

Lar Cooperativa has inaugurated a new egg incubation unit in Itaipulândia, Paraná, with an investment of R$ 80 million, making it the largest and most modern hatchery in the Americas. The new structure, which can now incubate 20.1 million eggs a month, is equipped with advanced technology, ensuring greater biosecurity by reducing human handling. The expansion, which doubled the unit's area, generated more than 130 direct jobs and is part of a cycle of R$2 billion invested in poultry farming by the cooperative over the last five years. Deputy Governor Darci Piana highlighted the importance of the project for Paraná's leadership in chicken production, while Lar's CEO, Irineo da Costa Rodrigues, emphasized the commitment to bird health and the efficiency of the production process.
